Riley Sheahan looked like a man among boys playing in the Red Wings opening game of the 2013 NHL prospects tournament against the Minnesota Wild. The 6-foot-2, 212 pound center scored a key goal for the Wings to put the game out of reach Thursday night in Traverse City, MI.

The New York Rangers have announced their 2013 roster for the NHL prospect tournament at Centre I.C.E. arena in Traverse City, MI. The team features high scoring forwards Josh Nicholls and Michael St. Croix. Also included are a pair of skilled Swedes in Jesper Fast and Oscar Lindberg. Making a return to Traverse City is Kyle Jean, who used to play for the Traverse City North Stars of the NAHL, but signed as a free agent with the Rangers after two seasons with Lake Superior State.

The Detroit Red Wings have announced their 2013 roster for the NHL prospect tournament at Centre I.C.E. Arena in Traverse City, MI. The team features  four of the Red Wings eight 2013 draft selections including Tyler Bertuzzi, Anthony Mantha, Marc McNulty, and  Zach Nastasiuk. Organizers of the 2013 NHL Prospects Tournament and Detroit Red Wings training camp in conjunction with the Toledo Walleye Boosters Club have designated September 8, 2013 as the second annual ‘Bryan Rufenach day’.  A portion of the proceeds of all ticket sales will benefit the Bryan Rufenach Just Skills Camp. The annual camp, based out of Lindsay Ontario and run by the Rufenach family, just completed its second year with over 70 participants between the ages of 7 and 12.
